POST TENSION BRIDGE DESIGN


This site is published  for educational purposes. I just wanted to share my project to help engineering students who have no idea about post tension technology.Because I believe that: "Sharing information is the first step towards building community".

 ProTii is a virtual brand name which is established for our  term project "Design services of  Avcılar Interchange Bridge" at Boğaziçi University,İstanbul-Turkey. In this virtual company we tried to do everything like professional. This project deals with the construction work of interchange bridge in Avcılar which is a typical application of post tensioning technology (new technology in Turkey)

                            WHAT IS POST TENSION TECHNOLOGY




Post tension is necessary for the beams of bridges which has span length bigger than 30 meters. This technology is generally used for mega structures of buildings, parking structures,bridges,stadiums, water tanks...Post tension allows to pass a span lenght which is impossible to pass by any other site constraints.
